Rocky Mountain High

Rocky Mountain High

July 12 2010

Well, I'm still in Denver!  I've decided to stay a couple extra days after RomCon wrapped up so that I can continue to work on my writing projects with Celeste. Though my stay here has been limited to the RomCon hotel, my hotel, and the four or five restaurants on our airport-area boulevard, I've had a great time. I have loved meeting so many readers and hanging out with my fellow authors. (We really are an unusual bunch.)

I've loved everything except for the altitude sickness.

Yes, not only have I become old and grumpy, I've become old, grumpy, and SENSITIVE TO CHANGES IN MY ENVIRONMENT.  It's embarrassing.  I got here on Thursday and by Friday I was feeling really lousy. Then Saturday and I felt even more lousy.  My apologies to the RomCon coordinators and the other authors on the Build a Heroine panel Saturday.  I had to bolt from the room before the event started.

Of course, I've been tip-top since Saturday evening and now feel completely fabulous, just in time to fly back to sea-level Maryland tomorrow. And then after that, not only am I going to hang at sea level for a while, it's going to be oceanfront sea level for myself and my family and friends. We're renting a beach house in South Carolina!

Yay!

Have a great week everybody.

On blogging

Yes, I know I’m a lousy blogger. I’ll try to do better, though I’m not convinced anyone cares what I did over my summer vacation or the latest hilarious antics of my dogs. But, on the off chance that someone out there actually comes to my website to read my blog, could you let me know? Send me an email, maybe?

Here’s my pledge – if I get three people (not counting my mother) who email me to tell me they truly want to read my blog, then I’ll promise to contribute a new musing at least once a week. This should be interesting, and I’ll be sure to let you all know how this experiment turns out. Hey, I’ll blog about it!
